Information You Provide
- Vendor Information: Business name, email address, phone number, stand locations, product listings, operating hours, and payment method details (usernames or handles for payment apps such as Venmo, PayPal, Cash App, Zelle, and Apple Cash).
- Customer Account Information: Email address, display name, home zip code, preferred search radius, and category interests. Customer accounts can be created through full registration or our streamlined signup process.
- User-Generated Content: Reviews, ratings, collection names and descriptions, alert preferences, and event itinerary notes.
Information Collected Automatically
- Location Data: With your permission, we collect your approximate location via GPS or zip code entry to show nearby stands and calculate distances. You can revoke location access at any time through your browser settings or by clearing your location in our interface.
- Usage and Analytics Data: Pages visited, page views, cart interactions, and purchase funnel activity (e.g., cart viewed, checkout started). We track these using anonymous session identifiers that are not personally identifiable.
- Device Information: Browser type, operating system, and device identifiers collected through standard web protocols.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide and maintain the Platform, including stand discovery, event listings, and vendor profiles
- To enable customer features such as favorites, collections, reviews, and restock alerts
- To connect customers with local vendors and facilitate payment through third-party services
- To send notifications you have opted into, including restock alerts and event reminders
- To generate aggregated, non-identifying analytics that help vendors understand stand traffic
- To improve our services and user experience
- To communicate with you about your account or our services
Payment Information
FreshStops does not process payments directly. We facilitate connections between customers and vendors using third-party payment services (Venmo, PayPal, Cash App, Zelle, Apple Cash, or cash). We store vendor payment handles (e.g., a Venmo username) to display at checkout, but we never collect, store, or have access to customer payment credentials, card numbers, or bank account information. All payment transactions occur directly between you and the vendor through these third-party services, and are governed by those services' own terms and privacy policies.
Customer Account Data
When you create a customer account, we store your profile information, favorites, collections, reviews, alerts, and event itinerary. You can:
- View, edit, or delete your favorites and collections at any time
- Edit or remove your reviews
- Manage your alert subscriptions
- Update your profile and preferences through account settings
Public collections you create may be viewable by anyone with the share link. All other customer data is private to your account.
Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in the following limited circumstances:
- Aggregated, non-identifying analytics data with vendors whose stands you interact with (e.g., page view counts, not individual identities)
- With service providers who assist in operating our Platform (e.g., hosting, database services)
- When required by law, regulation, or legal process
- To protect the rights, safety, or property of FreshStops, our users, or the public
Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), row-level security on our database, and access controls. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Data Retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If a vendor account is deleted, we archive the account data and then remove it from our active systems. Analytics data is retained in aggregated form and is not linked to individual identities.
Your Rights
You may:
- Access, update, or delete your account information through your account settings
- Request a copy of your personal data by contacting us
- Opt out of marketing communications
- Revoke location permissions through your browser or our Platform interface
- Delete your account entirely, which removes your profile, favorites, collections, and reviews
Children's Privacy
FreshStops is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us so we can promptly remove it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
