For Vendors
How much does it cost to list my stand?
Nothing. FreshStops is completely free for vendors. There are no listing fees, no subscription fees, no transaction fees, and no premium tiers. We keep it free through community sponsorships.
How do I create an account and list my stand?
Go to the vendor registration page and follow the steps. You'll provide your email, business name, set up your stand location and hours, add products, and connect your payment methods. The whole process takes about 5 minutes.
Can I have multiple stands?
Yes. You can manage multiple stands from a single vendor account. Each stand gets its own location, products, hours, QR code, and page on FreshStops.
How do I get my QR code?
Log in to your vendor dashboard and navigate to your stand. You'll find a "QR Code" option that lets you view and download your unique QR code. Print it and display it at your stand so customers can scan it with their phone.
How do I mark my stand as closed for the season?
In your vendor dashboard, go to the stand you want to close and look for the "Closed for Season" toggle. When enabled, your stand will still appear in search results but will be clearly marked as closed. Customers can still view your stand page and favorite you for next season.
How do payments work?
FreshStops never handles money. You set up the payment methods you already use (Venmo, PayPal, Cash App, Zelle, Apple Cash, or cash) and provide your payment handle or username. When a customer checks out, we show them your payment options and link directly to the payment app. The money goes straight from the customer to you.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Settings in your vendor dashboard and scroll to the "Danger Zone" section at the bottom. You'll be asked to verify your identity with a one-time code sent to your email. Once verified, your account data will be archived and your listings will be removed from the platform.
For Customers
Do I need an account to browse stands?
No. You can browse stands, view products, see events, and make purchases without creating an account. An account is only needed for features like favorites, collections, reviews, and alerts.
How do I create an account?
You can create an account from the registration page, or you can start by performing an action that requires an account (like favoriting a stand). We'll ask for your email and walk you through a quick setup — no password needed, we use secure email verification.
How do I pay for items at a stand?
When you visit a stand's page or scan their QR code, you'll see their products and prices. Add items to your cart, then choose a payment method. For digital payments (Venmo, PayPal, etc.), we'll open the payment app so you can send money directly to the vendor. For cash, you leave your payment at the stand.
What are collections?
Collections are custom groups of stands that you create and name. For example, you might make a "Summer Produce Route" collection with your favorite vegetable stands, or a "Gift Ideas" collection for the holidays. You can make collections public and share them with friends using a link.
How do restock alerts work?
You can subscribe to restock alerts on any stand. When the vendor restocks their products or adds new items, you'll be notified. You can manage your alert subscriptions from your account dashboard.
Why does FreshStops ask for my location?
We use your location to show you stands and events near you and to calculate distances. Location access is optional — you can also enter a zip code instead. We never store your precise GPS coordinates on our servers; location is only used in your browser to sort results. See our Privacy Policy for more details.
General
Is FreshStops available in my area?
FreshStops is available nationwide in the United States. The number of stands in your area depends on how many local vendors have signed up. If you don't see many stands near you, consider sharing FreshStops with vendors you know — it's free for them to list.
How is FreshStops different from a farmers market directory?
Farmers market directories list organized market events. FreshStops focuses on individual roadside stands and direct-to-consumer sellers — the kind of small, independent operations you find along country roads and at the edges of properties. We do list farmers markets and events too, but our core focus is helping individual vendors get discovered.
I found an issue or have feedback. How do I report it?
We'd love to hear from you. Email us at hello@freshstops.app with a description of the issue or your suggestion. We read every message.
